JKap Ends his Call of Duty Player Career

Two-time Call of Duty world champion Jordan "JKap" Kaplan has decided to end his player career. Despite he will no longer compete, Kaplan is looking for ways to stay in the scene in a different capacity.

JKap has been playing Call of Duty competitively since 2010. The player’s biggest accomplishments are the first places at Call of Duty Championship 2015 with Denial Esports and at CWL Championship 2016 with Team Envy. Last season he played for OpTic Gaming Los Angeles – however, due to modest results the player was put on a bench this May.

Without JKap, the team proceeded to place 9th in the Call of Duty League regular season and 5-6th in the playoffs. Currently OpTic Gaming have five players in the main roster and two on the substitute list – with the upcoming league’s transition to the 4v4 format, it is likely that more players will leave the team in the nearest future.

OpTic Gaming Los Angeles:

  • Thomas "TJHaLy" Haly
  • Kenny "Kenny" Williams
  • Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat
  • Darien "Hollow" Chverchko
  • Zack "Drazah" Jordan
  • Brandon "Dashy" Otell (substitute)
  • Jevon "Goonjar" Gooljar-Lim (substitute)
