Heroic Win ESL One 2020 Cologne Europe

The Danish team Heroic has become the champions of the European division of ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe, securing $150,000 in prize money – by far the biggest spoils in the team’s history. In the grand finals they outplayed Team Vitality with the 3-0 score. The runner-up received $50,000.

Heroic qualified to the playoffs from the second place in Group B. Later in the playoffs the team defeated Complexity (2-0) in the quarterfinals and G2 Esports (2-1) in the semifinals. In the final series Heroic outplayed their opponents at Mirage (16:7), Inferno (16:13) and Nuke (16:9).

ESL One 2020 Cologne 2020 Europe was played on August 18th – 30th, featuring 16 teams competing for a $325,000 prize pool. The was also held in North America, Oceania and Asia, where the first places were secured by Evil Geniuses, Renegades and TyLoo respectively.
