Heroic and G2 Esports Eliminated from IEM XV New York
Heroic and G2 Esports, with both of them being in the top-10 in the world ranking, have become the first two teams to be eliminated from IEM Season XV – New York Online: Europe. Both teams placed last in their groups.
Current leaders of the world ranking Heroic placed last in Group B after losing to FaZe Clan (0-2) and BIG (1-2). Meanwhile G2 Esports, who are ranked #9 in the world, were outplayed by Complexity (0-2) and Fnatic (0-2) in Group A.

Today, on October 8th, the event will feature two series between the first day winners – in Group A Vitality will face Complexity (1:00 PM UK time), while in Group B FaZe will play with OG (4:30 PM). The winners of these matches will qualify for the playoffs, while the losers will play with the teams currently placed 3rd.
The European division of IEM XV New York features a $140,000 prize pool – the event will conclude on October 11th with a best-of-five grand finale, the winner of which will receive half of the prize pool.
