Dota Plus Update is Released, Introducing Grandmaster Tier and Seasonal Treasure

Valve have released a new update for Dota 2, which launches the new season for Dota Plus and introduces a new Grandmaster tier for heroes, a new seasonal treasure with 11 sets and a rare courier, and more.

Now players who reach level 30 with a hero will enter the Grandmaster tier, which grants access to a new chat wheel voice line for that hero. While playing on a maxed hero, players will get shards as a reward instead of hero experience. Only Dota Plus subscribers can reach level 30.

The Winter 2020 Seasonal Treasure is available for shards and includes sets for the following heroes: Dragon Knight, Puck, Spirit Breaker, Templar Assassin, Earth Spirit, Vengeful Spirit, Luna, Necrophos, Undying, Ember Spirit and Centaur Warrunner. As a very rare reward, players can get the Hermid the Crab courier.

With the launch of the new season the developers also added new quests, which can give up to 115,200 shards. Besides that, the update introduced new rewards for guilds.

Earlier Valve announced that they will release a new hero in the middle of December, alongside update 7.28. Besides that, Dota Pro Circuit will resume in January.
