Call of Duty League is a franchise city-based league that was launched this January with a total prize pool of $6,000,000. Initially the matches were supposed to be played on LANs with home and away matches, however in March the league transitioned to online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The league’s playoffs stage was played on August 19th – 30th, featuring 12 teams competing in a double-elimination bracket. The grand finale has broken the viewership record of a CoD match – it peaked at over 330,000 viewers. The next season of the league will be played on the recently revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War.
