Astralis: Gla1ve Returns to Active Roster
Shortly before their debut at ESL Pro League Season 12 Astralis have announced that Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander is back to the team’s main roster. Later today he will play for the team in their match against Complexity, replacing Patrick "es3tag" Hansen.
Since May Gla1ve has been on a medical leave due to stress and mental burnout. Earlier last month he already expressed his desire to return to competing. Despite that, the team decided to play at ESL One Cologne 2020 with two new players, Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen. There the team managed to advance to the playoffs from the first place in the group stage, however later they lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas (0-2) in the first bracket and placed 5-8th at the event.
The team’s coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen explained in the team’s official statement that as a seven-man roster, they will be selecting players for each match individually, depending on their opponent and performance of players. While not playing, es3tag will be helping the team to analyse the gameplay and prepare for the upcoming matches.
