The North American organization 100 Thieves, who earlier announced the closure of their CS:GO division, has transferred Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad to the Norwegian team Apeks. His contracts is intended to last for three years, the deal’s cost remains undisclosed.

Jkaem is a 26-years-old player from Norway, who moved to the Unites States in 2018 to compete in the mostly Australian roster of Renegades, which later transferred to 100 Thieves. With them he placed 3rd-4th at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 and 2nd at IEM XIV – Beijing. Yesterday the team also managed to get “silver” at IEM XV New York Online: North America.

Earlier 100 Thieves announced that they would disband their CS:GO roster after the conclusion of IEM XV – New York. The organization’s CEO Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag explained that most of the upcoming big CS:GO tournaments will be held in Europe, and his company is not able to properly support players competing overseas. At that time Nadeshot stated that they were going to help the team to find a new home – it is unknown where the remaining four Australian players will end up.

Apeks is led by Dennis "dennis" Edman, with whom jkaem played in 2015 in G2 Esports. Next week the team will compete at Elisa Invitational Fall 2020, the winner of which will qualify for BLAST Fall Showdown.
