TSM Sign SwordArt for $6 million
Hu "SwordArT" Shuo-Chieh has become the new support of TSM. The player has signed a 2-year, $6 million contract with the organization. It is reported to be the biggest contract in the LCS history, breaking the previous record set by Dignitas when signing Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon for two years for $2.3 million.
SwordArt is a 23-years-old support player from Taiwan, who spent the last two years with a Chinese team Suning. With them he recently won LPL Regional Finals 2020 and placed second at 2020 World Championship. Earlier in his career he played for Flash Wolves (2013 – 2018), with them he won four LMS events.
Earlier this offseason TSM announced that Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng decided to retire. During this offseason they also parted ways with Erik "Treatz" Wéssen and Sergen "Broken Blade" Çelik, while Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg switched from playing to coaching. The organization also signed a former FlyQuest midlaner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage.
