Groups for IEM XV – Global Challenge Revealed

ESL have revealed the groups for their upcoming event Intel Extreme Masters XV – Global Challenge – Vitality, Complexity, Astralis and Chaos have been put in Group A, while Heroic, FURIA, Natus Vincere and Liquid will compete in Group B.

The group stage will be played from December 15th to December 18th, featuring GSL groups with best-of-three series. The first series look as follows (UK time):

• 11:00, Dec 15: Vitality vs Chaos
• 02:30, Dec 15: Complexity vs Astralis
• 06:00, Dec 15: FURIA vs NAVI
• 11:00, Dec 16: Heroic vs Liquid

The best two teams from each group will advance to a single-elimination playoffs bracket, which will be held on December 19th – 20th. The semifinals will be best-of-three, while the grand finals will be best-of-five.

IEM XV – Global Challenge features a $500,000 prize pool and is part of Intel Grand Slam. The winner will receive $200,000 in prize money.
